Part 2 of the Soulful Sunday focuses on the power of letting go. With today being "Holy Sunday" I wanted to focus on how finding alignment with our soul can be the center of finding alignment in our whole life.

“We always fight so hard to hold on. but God says Trust in Me and Let Go"
There have been plenty of moments in my life, present and past, that have kept me out of great alignment until I finally had the strength to let go of trying to fix them. Don't get me wrong. We are in control of A LOT of our current and future circumstances.
We have the control to show up a certain way in our lives.
We control how to fuel our body and minds properly.
We control who we choose to spend our time with.
We control who we trust with our hearts.
But the things we don't have control over are often what we spend the most time trying to fix. I thank the many great friends, mentors, and coaches who have helped shift my mindset from trying to fix every bad moment to accepting my worth and trusting that the best is always yet to come. The blessing were always there, but now that I'm in a better space I am able to see, love, and live through them.
So that's why I'm here. To help others live in the moment, learn how to let go, know that they have a loving God who will always provide, and that we have the control to change our lives.

5 ways to Start Letting Go:
1. Stop Trying. Start Abiding.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” – Proverbs 3:5-6
Sometimes we just have to take a step back and STOP. Stop trying so hard to attain a perfect figure. Stop giving your time and energy to someone who doesn't appreciate it. Stop eating and drinking things that don't fuel our bodies. Stop blaming others. Stop finding excuses. Sometimes in order to get back in alignment we have to find a re-START button. Start saying Yes to your health. Start pushing yourself to meet more like minded people. Start taking risks to invest in yourself. Start forgiving others. Start Trusting in God.
2. Confess Control
The next step we can take is to let go of wanting to feel in control of your life. Like I previously stated, yes we do have quite a bit control over our day to day choices. But a huge step to letting go of things that no longer serve us is to confess that we are not the ones in control.
3. TRUST
“Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7
In order to truly let go of that control we have to trust in ourselves but ultimately trust in God. Even in the darkest moments when we may not understand why were at a certain job, why a relationship didn't work out, or why we lost someone close to us, our God is always loving, always serving and the more we trust that the easier it is to move forward.
4. Seek Joy
One of the best ways to find alignment spiritually is to seek joy in all that you do. The word of God always brings a better perspective on the day ahead. Start your day with a daily devotional, journal, and self reflection.
5. Praise ALL
“And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” – Matthew 21:22
Last but not least. Praise. The more we show gratitude the more happiness we have in our lives. But the more we also want to take care of ourselves. When we appreciate those around us, we seek less affirmation in the wrong places. Remember...It is out of your hands (control) and in hands of God.
Let go and let God do the rest and watch your life become more alined.
Rising Together,
Sondra
